Percent of neighborhood associations that meet quarterly

Foster active neighborhood committees and associations in at least 60% of neighborhoods

While we continue to fail to meet our goal we are showing very steady improvement. This may be due to a few recent shifts in the defined neighborhood boundaries. With a continued focus and effort, we hope to hit our goal by the end of next year.

We are engaging partners in the community and would like to see our neighborhood associations become more active. In order to achieve that goal, we need our associations to be meeting regularly and scheduling more events.

Neighborhood associations are very important to foster community and involvement at both the neighborhood and city level. Past experience shows that neighborhood associations that meet on a quarterly or monthly basis, opposed to annually, are more successful at having a meaningful impact in the community. We can use this measure as an indicator of citizen engagement.
