Frequent emergency fires can be prevented by taking caution against potential hazards. When there are less fires that means Metropolis is doing a good job staying on top of safety.

We monitor the number of fires per 100,000 structures as an indicator of both Metropolis' structural safety and our citizens' fire safety habits. Although some emergency fires cannot be prevented, many are easily preventable so it is important to continue reducing this number as much as we can.
